Nightingale spotted in Derby

A lunchtime walk along the London Road in Derby today took me past a few interesting heritage sites.

For my blip I have chosen this view of Nightingale House. It dates from the 1820s and became a nursing and midwifery hospital in 1904. It was recently sold by the NHS and is earmarked for redevelopment, but has been boarded up since 2009.

The front of the building is listed so should be preserved in any development that does occur.
