More winter flowers

Went into Oban today to give a talk to the 'Visibility' group, a bunch of visually impaired people who meet in the under croft of the Kilmore and Oban church. I meant to take the camera in to get an Oban Blip, but forgot. I took a great load of plant material - flowers, twigs, leaves and fronds and passed them all round - we had quite a nice chat.

This is a pic of a group of Rhododendron mucronulatum. Always a good early flowerer and quite suitable for the small garden of less than 100 acres, as Gertrude Jekyll probably didn't say, but should have! I thought this was genuine and was delighted when I Googled it and found a hit! Unfortunately it was only me trying to make a joke of it on TripAdvisor last year!
