A beautiful morning for a walk. L and I set off to explore the Falls of Clyde. We walked along very wet, muddy paths .... stopped at every viewpoint ..... took far too many photographs of the most amazing waterfalls. We managed to make it to Bonnington Linn where the hydro electricity station is situated. The noise of the thundering water was incredible. The only downside was the position of the sun!

These are the words from the visitors' notice board .....

'Majestic and magical, the Falls of Clyde are a natural wonder cloaked in woodland and shrouded by mist. Tranquil woods and calm water give way to a torrent thundering through sandstone cliffs.'

Many thanks to July who told us of this wonderful walk.
