The Waiting Books

The books waiting patiently to be read seem to be growing in number. I'm counting the days until I can shut out the world and escape into history to meet characters and places from the past among the pages of these biographies, historical books and novels.

After all a writer is not a true writer without reading. I'm lucky enough to know two of these authors. I highly recommend the works of Amy Licence, women's historical author specialising in the medieval era, and David Long, author of many London historical books from a refreshingly original perspective.

Looking forward to a lazy afternoon with a pot of tea, cosy cardi and one of these books very soon....but which one will I choose?
