Something colourful...

Spent a lot of time farting about with this piece...it's not very big, 14" x 10" approximately.   Using a piece of sanded paper, did an ink and gesso underpainting then threw tons of pastels at it!!!   still not sure if i'm done, so it is time to step away from the easel.

Raining like crazy out there....plus 8 degrees!!!   crazy stuff, last year at this time we had tons of snow and mostly -14 days.   i'll take this grey wet stuff anytime.

In other news:  this is supposed to be my 3 month sabbatical and while i am enjoying it very very much, i just got an order for 100 ugly mugs from the Ugly Mug Cafe....i love working with them.   So tomorrow i'll head into the studio and it'll take me about 10 days going at a nice pace.   Feels very doable this year cos it isn't so bloody cold out in the studio.  My trusty partner Terry (god bless his heart) has offered to help me....he'll start the fire in the morning for me and i'm sure i'll get to do some other nasty jobs!   Also i've stocked up on books on CDs so i'm all set!
