Fantasy Colours

A fairly early start today as I had to go into the city centre to drop off some papers. On the way I pass this building, not only an example of art deco granite architecture, but also something of a Scottish institution. The history of the company can be found here. The Aberdeen store is slightly off the main shopping street, at what used to be the more fashionable end of the street, but is now mainly betting shops.

I had a walk up to the east end of Union Street and naturally stopped off for a coffee before returning to base later in the day. The morning was quite sunny, but by mid afternoon the rain had returned.

There was some blue sky to the right of the photograph, but I felt a bit more colour was needed to make up for the grey skies which arrived later in the day.
