Mono Landscape - 52 week challenge week 5

I could have taken a trip up to the top of Crickley Hill and photographed the Severn Vale with Gloucester and Cheltenham, or turned around and taken one the other way with the Cotswolds. I wanted to find something 'around the corner' that would comply with the requirement of "Look for a scene with great contrast that will make a great black and white. " so took this one.
There is Light and Dark, the tall Poplar trees and the light coloured Daffodils in the foreground.
