Fallen

Nice to have time to enjoy a relaxed cup of coffee this morning! The simple pleasures, eh?

After some domestic stuff, and more coffee with a couple who had come to talk with MrM about instruments, we set off down to Alnwick to the supermarket. Stopped on the way for a walk in the rain at the lakes near Powburn. (Grrr - the spell checker doesn't like 'Powburn'. Changes it to 'Lowborn' and isn't very cooperative when I try to change it back...)

On the way to Alnwick it became evident that quite a few trees were blown down in the gales last weekend, in addition to all those blown down before Christmas.

We abandoned the plan to walk on the beach after leaving the supermarket as it was raining quite hard and, instead, stopped for a short walk on the way back when the rain had eased off for a while.
