My 2015

Thankful #NHS

Busy day but left early to take Grandma to see doctor. The doctor was so caring, patient and kind making sure she fully understood what he was asking and saying. People often moan about NHS but the majority of people work in the NHS to do a good job and care about patients often at much lower pay than private work would be. When you really need it like Grandma did the last week it's there, free at the point of delivery , prescription given free due to age , referrals made to specialists free, calls from doctor, home visit, bloods taken at home, bloods processed, further work to come. We are lucky to live in a country where we have all this even if it's not perfect at times. We need to protect it though and use it appropriately. I know from my job that it's not free, it has to be commissioned, paid for, checked for safety and quality, care given, equipment etc etc . Lots of people involved with to enable it to work. Sorry I didnt mean to write a rant just I have seen a few posts of late on social media being critical and I think the good stuff gets missed. #ourNHS
I then met my sister in law after to bring my niece back for the weekend while she works and have Grandma too for a change of scenery.
So my blip is my badge as after a long day and travelling back there wasn't much time for blips.
