Spring

Now that it is February I feel like I can call it Spring, at least for today while the sun is shining (OK was shining.)  Most of the early flowers have been badly slugged, no garden Iris to show, just stumps :-(  However they don't seem keen on the cyclamen , maybe the toxicity of these plants effects slugs as well as pets and people?

These are flowers from a pale pink Cyclamen coum, completely hardy outside.  I'll show some darker ones another day.

In other news Ruth is almost home after a weekend away in Wolverhampton.  She was invited to attend the Heritage Railways Association annual dinner along with another young Talyllyn volunteer.  She's travelled alone in her power chair and apart from the 'fun' of a train crammed with football fans she's enjoyed the whole weekend.  An increasingly independent young lady.
