Life through the lens...

Fond memories

At our wine club meeting tonight we will be raising a glass and drinking a toast in memory of one of our dear friends who passed away last week.

The funeral today was a celebration of his life.
A gentleman who was a gentle man.
We have only known him for twenty three years, which is when we first joined the wine club.
One of the things we didn't know was that in his younger years he was a great cricketer.
In fact he once dropped Sir Garry Sobers!
Something he wasn't very proud of!

He was also a Boy Scout from the age of 6, and went on to be district commissioner.
The music played at the end of the service was the scouting song;

On the crest of a wave - Ralph Reader.

( I can't stop humming it.)

Rest In Peace T. We will miss you.
