Mono: Pure Transition

Breakfast at our B&B, and then a walk from Friars Cliff to Avon Beach and back before we headed to J's Mum's.

I took loads of photo's. Storm Imogen was blowing, whipping up the waves, and it was all quite dramatic. I reckon this fits the Mono Monday theme because:

PURE : walking along the front with the wind blowing, was purely exhilarating. And the bathing water standard on this beach is as high as can be found on any UK beach, as near to pure as you'll find.

TRANSITION: a beach is an area of transition, ever changing as the tides ebb and flow every day. And in the 19 years we have been coming down here since J's Mum migrated south, the coastline has changed quite dramatically. Collapsed cliffs, new sandbars, changing beaches ..... and lots more.

Spot the oystercatcher and herring gull by the way. And another herring gull in the extra.

After a difficult day and a difficult journey back we have now returned to the north-west and home.
