Weavers

Two friends weaving with backstrap looms. The lady on the left is an experienced weaver practicing a new technique. The lady on the right just took a class and is weaving her first project, which is a rebozo. (long shawl). Weaving is the major textile art done in this part of Mexico.
The extra photos are:
detail of one backstrap, which is a beautiful work of art in itself. It is actually a trump line which rests on the top of the head, ropes tied to each end are wrapped around bundles of firewood that are gathered in the forest and carried home.
second photo is the weaving of the experienced weaver.
