If the rain would just stop for a bit we Mr DawnC could mow the lawn. To be honest, this isn't actually our lawn in the picture but it could well be soon, the way things are going!

A busy day at work with the first half of the morning spent trying to re-activate my expired Smart Card via the NHS Self Service Portal. An hour on the phone to a very nice Help Desk technician later and it transpired that my Google tool bar was to blame. Regardless of that, the portal itself is a classic example of NHS IT systems which are supposed to enable staff to do things for themselves but which are fatally flawed having been designed by IT geeks who are completely incapable of understanding what it's like not to be one. The instructions may as well have been in Russian. Grrrrrr.
