Vanessa

Meet Vanessa (or Vanessa atalanta, to use her full name), our resident Red Admiral butterfly. I noticed her in the garden the other day and then again in the same place today doing the same little circuit. Although it's lovely and sunny currently, there's a strong old wind blowing so I had to take quite a few shots to get one in focus.

I had a nice time in the Bone Lab today and also a very productive tutorial with my supervisor and lunch with the other archaeologists. Interestingly, not one us had a beard. I wonder what the statistical chances are of that?
