Olympic flame at Madejski Stadium

Thousands of people turn out in Reading to welcome the Olympic torch. The event at the Madejski stadium was fairly tawdry in itself, with appalling sound system so you had no idea what or who was on the stage. However the instant that the figure in white appeared with the torch and ran to the stage was spine tingling. Hard to logically analyse the excitement, but it was palpable.
Can't wait for the morning when we watch our wonderful and inspiring friend Ian Harding run with the Torch. It's National Transplant Week and he has raised £70000 for the Liver Unit at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham where he had a Liver transplant.
