Life's Little Moments

Bar Fight at the Bistro...

A light dusting of snow at the Bistro seemed to bring out the tempers this morning.  These two were both trying to get a seat at the Suet Station and neither one was giving way.  I was nearly forced to have a give someone a time-out.  Finally, however, the male took his little red cap and flew off in  a huff.  Yep, girls rule.

For those of you not fortunate enough to have Downy Woodpeckers around, you may be interested in knowing how small they are.  They are N. America's tiniest woodpeckers, measuring about 6 inches (17 cm) in length.  But what they lack in size, they make up for in character and personality, as you can see here.

Snow showers today, but no significant accumulations expected.  Just enough to keep things hopping at the Bistro...  Counting the days until we leave for Arizona...

Happy Tuesday, people.
