Clifton

We went to Bristol today for a short break in Clifton. The weather was dry, for a change, and we had a good time exploring the parkland and observatory at the suspension bridge and the bridge itself of course. There is a new information centre at one end of the bridge which was very interesting. The bridge itself is very impressive and a prime example of Isambard Kingdom Brunel's engineering skills, although he died before the bridge was opened.

We explored the village later and have ended up in a tapas bar for tea.
