Ruby Red

It's said that for citrus fruit to really reach it's peak in flavor, the fruit needs to be exposed to some cold temperatures. This winter has apparently been a good one for grapefruit. These were gifted to me by a Dog Park friend who promised me that he grew the 'Best' grapefruit in this part of the state. Which is quite a claim considering that a whole lot of grapefruit is grown in Florida. However, after eating one of these Ruby Reds this morning, I certainly must agree with him.
