Sanibel Sampler

This is what Sanibel Island will always be to me....a wonderful collage of creatures and experiences all rolled into one...a heavenly collection of moments that add up to perfection.

We first rode our bikes through "Ding" Darling refuge...the birds were out in full force.   Little green herons, yellow-crowned night herons, little blue herons, great egrets, white pelicans and an alligator greeted us on our tour!
Then our trip to the lighthouse where we always see ospreys, brown pelicans, and usually a dolphin or two, along with snowy egrets that never care there are people on the same pier!
Later, another bike ride just because we love the island so much...then watching sunset from the causeway as the waves hit the beach nearby.
Sanibel has always been one of my favorite places, and today certainly did not disappoint!!
