We took the Little Misses to look round the new school today. They loved it!! We seem to have been looking forward to it for months and finally today was the day!
My mum and dad came with us and they loved it too!!
The school had pulled out all the stops - activities in classrooms, science experiments galore, musical instruments to bang on play, dance lessons in the dance studio, wonderful art on display, there was even panning for gold!
The two girls who showed us round were patient, sweet, articulate and very enthusiastic which I thought reflected very well on the school.
And at the end there were pastries, cakes, biscuits, juice and tea. They know the way to my daughters' hearts!!
When my mum checked with the woman whether anything was suitable for Miss L she said it wasn't but disappeared off to the kitchen and came back with a plate loaded with flapjacks, jammy dodgers and biscuits. Miss L was delighted. And Mummy was happy too!
Halfway through the afternoon Miss E announced that she "absolutely, definitely wants to come here!"
We arranged her taster day for Wednesday so fingers crossed she still feels the same after a whole day.
Miss L was feeling a little overwhelmed by the end I think and didn't want to arrange a taster day. It's all come a bit out of the blue for her so I'll just take it easy with her so she can get used to the idea in her own time.
My mum and dad came back for a yummy roast gammon dinner. We chatted schools, diets, degrees, holidays and children.
And then we watched Minions which is stupid but hilarious!!
