At Rest

Found this rusting cartwheel in a field when I went up to the top of the Hathern Road to try and get a shot of the rear of the Temple of Venus in Garendon Park. Despite best efforts, that didn't really work.

Although it was beautifully sunny, I was facing south and the atmosphere in the distance was hazy. I used a long lens at maximum zoom. Perhaps the lens clarity was not so good in such circumstances. And yes, the lens and camera were on a tripod.

But the wheel was an unexpected discovery. This field and the next have not been planted. I fear that building 'development' will encroach on this site from Hathern.
