Too late!

'Twas a cold and frosty morning (-3deg when I set off for work), probably the coldest this winter. 

Early finish at work this afternoon and, as I drove home, some fabulously dramatic views of the snow-covered tops of Hedgehope Hill and the Cheviot bathed in sunlight with black clouds behind them. But I was too late - before reaching a safe place to park and grab the camera, the cloud had come down and the sun all but disappeared. Just a hint of Hedgehope and the Cheviot behind the lower hills in the Blip.

Time for a walk on the Common with MrM and Louie late afternoon. Bitterly cold - ice on the pond - but, even so, there was a sense that Spring is on the way.
