Look at that sea, girls--all silver and shadow and vision of things not seen. We couldn't enjoy its loveliness any more if we had millions of dollars and ropes of diamonds.

Silvery tones down in the Kitchen this morning but all changed an hour later as the rain swept in. Not much to report. A useful day catching up with chores and pootling about. Much needed!
