Salares

It was a stormy night and the winds have kept up all day, carrying along a constant stream of showers. Sadly, once again, not suitable weather for the high mountains. The day consisted of exploring some of the high level villages, each with their own character. After visiting Canillas de Aceituno and Sedella, the best was saved to last in the charming little Salares, from where we took a short hike into the local hills. After a bit of sunshine, some hail and then some rain we arrived back very cold and damp, but at least happy to have got out to have done something. The wind and rain seems to be following me around wherever I go at the moment!

NB Apologies to those who left comments before, but I've experienced a rare change of mind and decided to celebrate this wet and windy day with a bit of colour instead. Salares was full of such wonderful decaying old doors and windows.
