Back to the shed

The decision was made that the younger cattle should come inside. They have been losing condition because of the lack of grazing and the sodden and trodden fields. More blanket rain is forecast for two days running. T filled the feeders up with good silage and were they hungry! The only problem is that we shall run out of straw bales and edible dry feed and there is no guarantee that we shall have a good harvest. The maize is a write-off already unless we have a prolonged heat wave in the near future!

A called in this morning with granddaughter O who is off to the Middle East on Friday with her ma to join her dad. He is working over there.
