Sgwarnog: In the Field

Fort

One of the string of Iron Age hill forts along the Clwydian Range, Moel Arthur shows its ringed embankments nicely. And as its name suggests, a convincing round table of sorts.

Just over thirty years ago these forts were the subject of my first year uni archaeology project, a resource that 8yo now mines for her Year 3 Iron Age homework.

We had a pleasant walk in the lanes around Llandyrnog.
