Diamonds in the sky

It is bone-chillingly cold today, a day for indoor photography. This is another diamond beetle, mounted on a microscope slide, a survivor from the days that Queen Victoria was on her throne. Although it is only 3 mm in length it is too large to photograph in its entirety with the microscope; this was taken using  camera and macro lens.
