Reflections at sunset

A long day at the clinic today. And until late in the day it was overcast at best. Mostly, there was heavy rain and little to see, at least when I looked to get a photo on the way home after work.

Then the rain stopped and the clouds thinned. Eventually, as the sun became lower in the sky, there was more colour and drama. Until the sun became blinding below the lowest clouds and above the Waitakere ridge.

So I chose to do a reflection shot. Forgetting that earlier today, the programmed maintenance fellows had come round with the water hoses and washed the outside of the building. They do it from a hydraulically raised platform. Which leaves dirty splodges on the glass of the doors.

I think they add to the intrigue of the shot. Its a self portrait of sorts.
