Brunch

This afternoon I had to go back to work - headed to Washington DC.

But first - I had a PARTY to go to! E - the boy in the middle of the picture - lives across the road and decided he wanted to do a fundraiser event for the Reading Deaf Children's Society. His little sister is deaf and this charity gives the family all sorts of support. Sadly, she wouldn't get in the picture, but E is joined by J and S, his neighbours next door.

We're a very friendly community and his party was well attended by numerous neighbours young and old. Dad was busy in the kitchen cooking eggs and sausages and making delicious coffee to go with the bagels, toast and baked items. Mum and E and his sister, A, waited on us and made us all feel very welcome.

Just what I needed before heading off to the airport!

The beautifully created invitation which was put through my letterbox yesterday can be seen in 'Extra photos'.
