Showers over Ayr

Doesn't have quite the same ring as 'Sunshine on Leith', but I quite liked this dramatic cloudscape downriver this afternoon. On the right of the Firth are the three outlines of the Cowal shoreline, Bute and, in the distance, Arran; on the left, in front of the cloud, the the Cumbraes. Silhouetted on the Ayrshire coast is Knock Hill, above Largs.

The sky is huge at this point; from where I stood I could see snowy mountains, two distinct rainstorms, a sunny area across the water, and the blue sky above us.
