Dr. Mads Gilbert - Eyewitness in Gaza summer 2014

Dr. Gilbert worked at the al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza  during the 51 days long bombardment summer 2014 where most of the killed and wounded were civilians. 551children were killed, 3436 children got wounded.

When no journalists or media were able to enter Gaza, he reported from the hospital to let the world know what was going on. Israel has denied him access to Gaza for the rest of his life. Today he talked about his experience with medical solidarity, showing his pictures from the hospital and told the story of the children and the real heros in Gaza, his Palestinian colleagues on the hospital that worked day and night to save lives.

1,8 millions live in Gaza, and 60 % is 18 years or younger. That makes it the only "prison" for kids in the world. The pictures of the wounded together with the sounds of the bombardment, the drones and the screams of the terrified children is the truth that the media don't show.

It's also a reminder what the Syrians civilians already have experienced or experiencing right now.
