Frankfurt

Homeward bound. Loved Frankfurt and its hotchpotch of architecture. A city risen from the ashes after the allied bombings of 1944. They just needed a city built and it shows. Strangely appealing in its own way. The contrast of rich and poor only streets apart. This shot is from the balcony of the adina aparthotel which is a very nice place to stay.

Only regret... Not managing to catch The possman apelwein party tram. Oh how I hope we have one of those on the Edinburgh tracks when they are eventually joined up. The apelwein beer bike also looked quite a giggle. Only runs Friday to Sunday though.
