Return to the North

Men in kilts or men in uniform?

I headed out this morning to a special service at the Cenotaph in Rangiora. Monday is the 5th anniversary of the Christchurch earthquake and commemorate the event HMNZ Canterbury is in Lyttleton. The sailors were bussed out to the Cenotaph this morning for a service of commemoration and to receive the Freedom of the 'City'. They were piped in by the North Canterbury Pipe Band.
Now there is nothing I like more than a man in uniform but they still come second to a man in a kilt (must be my Scots heritage), so today i was in heaven with two fantasies before me :-)))
(You can see both at close quarters in the extras.)

In the end though i liked the sky in this shot as well as the Cenotaph and the sailors.
