Return to the North

Ooops

I had to take the car in this morning to have a spring replaced so sis drove her car in too and we headed off for a walk while the work as being done. First though we headed out to Messingham to a new cafe and deli place - very impressive!. Afterwards we walked the calories off by taking a walk along Bottesford Beck.
Bottesford beck is a lovely walk that you can do short bursts on or longer walks. This wee fellow was teasing us all the way along the walk (both on the way and return journey.) He was just slightly out of decent shot the whole time and as for catching him flying!!!!!!! ( I have included extras here )

In the end I nearly didn't blip him because I got a quick shot of a gold crest (a bird I have never seen before, and Britains smallest bird) but the clarity on this shot is better than the gold crest and so Little Egret here won out in the end.
Love the way he is wobbling on the tree, trying to get his balance
