Growing lad, growing eyeballs and other eyeball buso such as focusing on text etc not quite keeping up with growth spurts etc so off to the optometrist today.
What a magic man and what a range of very cool frames for the lad to chose from.
This gidget (as I understand it) measures exactly the position of the pupil in each eye and thus the lens for each eye is spot on.

And thankfully no longer the stigma of wearing glasses in the classroom...a young girl was in the shop with her mum while a sibling was choosing frames, PLEADING for a pair of cool rimmed specs with plain glass!!
