Dutchoak's (not so) Daily

Annigje II

A long, long time ago, when this canal was newly dug, a peat ship with skipper Egberts, his seven sons and a shifting complement of females was the fear of everybody living near it. When peat traffic was slow, they would turn to robbing coaches or worse. One day they torched a local church. As the story goes, a great vortex opened and took the ship and all aboard away, never to have been heard of again.
Years later, a single rudder was found in that same spot.

As usual, Dutchoak dumps his bike agains the nearest historic artifarct to get a capture.
