Another world

I've been posting pics of Atlantic breakers on the black volcanic beach outside our hotel on various social media already, so here instead is a really old church in the heart of Puerto de la Cruz. With palm trees, which are everywhere. The church was dark and quiet and the acoustic tempting. All the people were out on the streets, promenading or having a hing, watching the sea, smoking, chatting.

We've been up since 4am. Dinner becomes ever more alluring...
