The Castle from the Valley Cemetery

Out early this morning for a decent walk with the dog before heading back into town for various errands. It's been such a beautiful day with blue skies, sunshine and a hint of warmth. The cemetery wasn't planned only as a burial ground but also as a place of recreation and education - mainly about presbyterianism. It was opened in 1857 when the railways brought more tourism to Stirling and particularly to the castle. This morning it was pretty quiet so the dog and I were free to wander.
