Emirates Cable Car

Left Edinburgh in glorious if blustery sunshine (see extra). Landed at a horribly cloudy London City Airport. The one and only other time I've flown to this airport I was ridiculously excited as we flew up the river and I spotted landmarks. This time we barely saw the ground before we landed. Nothing daunted Lyn, my travelling companion, and I jumped aboard the Docklands Light Railway (driverless trains - eek) to our hotel for the night. The Good Hotel which is located on the Royal Victoria Dock. And I mean on. We're floating! Here's the view from our room of the cable car over the Thames and the dock itself.
