And happy humans too, enjoying sunshine, warmth and other hints that Spring may be on the way.

A little cloud of these insects was buzzing round the crocuses. I had to look them up, I didn't expect them to be out in February.

But apparently some hibernate and on the first warm days they emerge to lay their eggs on 'aphid-infested plants'. That bodes well?
