TinyTuesday 39: Gettin' Down

Although this Downy Woodpecker will win no awards for Tiniest Bird, it is the smallest species of Woodpecker in North America. As I type this I can hear the Sandhill Cranes 'Kettleing' by the hundreds in the sky above our house. They fly around in huge circles calling and calling, gathering their kin for the long flight northward. I love hearing them, even though it means that they're leaving us for another year. Safe Journey my friends.
Thank you Trisharooni for hosting TinyTuesday for the month of February.
***Now here's something you might really get a kick out of seeing...The Swimming Pigs of Exuma. Exuma is a small island in the Bahamas and...well just take a look :)
