This is the 'new road', or more correctly the A601, which cuts numerous Derby city centre side streets in half now.  But it's also created dead end roads where parking is free for up to 2 hours, and I do try to take advantage of this if, like this morning, I don't need to be in town for too long.  It's further to walk but who cares when it saves £3.70 in parking costs.

Then straight to the climbing wall to inspect their very snazzy new (purple with white spots) routes... although I mainly just studied them and then climbed something easier.  The induction session I had at the gym yesterday has twinged my shoulders a little - although I don't know how because I didn't actually do much as I was mainly being shown how it all worked.  I'll have to be careful when I go there properly, which will have to be fairly soon before I forget everything the bloke told me.

Later I'll be driving to the pub in Burton to find out about the club meet in Coniston this weekend.
