Grebes' Family Delight

If you were looking at this journal on 30th May you would have seen this grebes' nest precariously balanced on a buoy. We did not think the five eggs that we saw there 3 weeks after that would survive so I was rather anxious to get to the boat today. Immediately Mum grebe showed up with 4 already quite large chicks in tow. In fact they were climbing on and off her back most of the afternoon. I am putting two more shots in blipfolio - there is one very funny one with 3 of them riding high!. What a treat!
