The beautiful Martagon or Turk's Cap Lily

What a relief to go for a walk in the coolness of the mountains today despite the cloudy sky. Lilium martagon are found at high altitude in our area but this is the first I have seen this year. It seems to have been nibbled, maybe by the insect hiding on the right hand flower (best seen large of course).
