Heating Network under Construction

Around the corner from us is this elaborate construction site, along the Rue Charles Fourier (Paris 13e). It's one of Paris's hundred-odd urban heating networks, which provide steam and water heat to buildings along the networks. This site extends at least 150 meters along the street; here we're looking down only roughly one-third of its length (toward the Place Georges Hénocque, with its playground and trees in the center). It's a three months project (January to March).
