Open air marathon

Dawn at Cascais. This was the view I woke up to after accepting a challenge to spend as long as possible in the open air. It was MINI's novel idea at the launch of the company's new Convertible.

In a day and a half, I managed just over 19 hours effectively outdoors, including many hours in the open-top car, and last night sleeping al fresco on the hotel terrace with just a flimsy open-sided sun shade overhead. Pity about the thunderstorm in the wee small hours ...

The extra is a little sculpture I rather liked inside the rather arty hotel.
