Not just ice cream!

Our dessert (that followed scabbard fish and banana with passion fruit sauce) was a work of art! The decorative fruit was arranged in such a way that it looked like a shadow of the strawberry-topped ice cream - the strawberry itself cut to look like a flower! Just fabulous! Once again we have blipmate Orchid99 to thank for the restaurant recommendation. We shall eat at Olives again sometime!

The Extras are of me dipping my feet in the Atlantic - the water was ... COLD (taken by dry-footed Mr PP)! - and the lights on the hillside above Funchal, taken on our walk back to the hotel after tonight's recital at the city's theatre, performed by a young grand pianist and violinist: beautiful!
