Reflections on what would have been...

my Mother's 93rd birthday.

She was born in 1919, the ninth child of eleven. Families were big back then, and lucky to have nine that lived to adulthood.

She was a pilot, and adventuress. She survived crashing into a roof in Cheyenne, Wyoming, in her 30's, and lived to ride in a hot air balloon in Australia when she was in her 60's.

Her 75th birthday was her last, and she spent it with us, as she spent most of her last 20 years...in our home making sure we were taken care of.

This photo is for you, Mom...taken on the lake you loved by one of the daughters you loved.

I miss her every day.
