Early One Morning

Who in their right mind would consider it worthwhile leaving the house before 8 am on a Baltic Sunday morning, even if the sun was shining, just to walk a mile for breakfast in the canal side temple of toast?
Answer - His Lordship and this Lady.

Our reward, apart from the thick toasted homemade bread and special marmalade, was having the new day to ourselves. Frost sparkling on the grass and a low sun giving elongated tree shadows; seagulls wheeling at ground level and the remains of last night's moon hanging translucent between the trees, all made  it worthwhile beginning our Sunday early.

Back in the house with the papers at 9:30, we watch as the world around us wakes up, with joggers, dog walkers and cyclists passing outside our windows, but they don't know what a beautiful newly awakened Meadows they missed two hours ago.

Because I couldn't decide which blip to use, I have the competitor as my second image.
